Ajmer

Home to the Dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, one of India's most-visited Islamic shrines, below the hill fort of Taragarh; Pushkar, with its Brahma temple and camel fair, lies just across the ridge. A former British administrative headquarters (Ajmer-Merwara) and home to Mayo College, one of India's oldest public schools.
