MP'S SECOND-NEWEST DISTRICT Area 1,867 km²; population 616,645 (2011, pre-split estimate). Carved out of Rewa district on 15 August 2023, becoming part of Rewa Division. A small, largely rural district on the Vindhya plateau's eastern edge, still developing its own administrative and civic infrastructure after separation from Rewa.
