ORCHHA — BUNDELA CAPITAL Area 1,170 km²; population 404,807 (2011). MP's smallest district, carved out of Tikamgarh in 2018. Home to Orchha, the former capital of the Bundela Rajput kingdom on the Betwa River, renowned for its palaces, chhatris (cenotaphs), and the Ram Raja Temple — the only place where Rama is worshipped as a reigning king.
