Six assembly seats fall within it (Gandhi Nagar, Kondli, Patparganj, Krishna Nagar, Trilokpuri, Laxmi Nagar). Home to the Akshardham Temple, Sanjay Lake, and the Gandhi Nagar wholesale cloth market, among Asia's largest garment markets. Following the January 2026 reorganisation, the district also absorbed part of the dissolved Shahdara district's territory. Served by the Blue Line (Preet Vihar, Karkarduma, Akshardham, Mayur Vihar-I), with the Pink Line also crossing it.
